ORCL: Oracle Releases Enhanced Siebel eBilling and Billing Analytics Applications

Building on its ongoing commitment to enhance Siebel applications as part of the "Applications Unlimited" program, Oracle today announced the release of Siebel Communications Billing Manager 5.1.1 and Siebel Communications Billing Analytics 5.1.1, two key components of Oracle's Siebel Self-Service Solutions. The enhanced offerings will help customers dramatically cut costs by giving them comprehensive online access to billing data and the most advanced reporting capabilities available.

"We selected the Oracle Self-Service platform because it provides an out of the box solution with state-of-the-art functionality, proven scalability, and the lowest cost of ownership," said Mike Liget, Director of Mass Markets and Strategic Initiatives for Progress Energy. "Since our implementation, we have experienced an 85% reduction in customer support requirements via email as well as tremendous favorable customer response and acceptance. We have also dramatically reduced transaction and IT support costs."

Oracle's Siebel Communications Billing Manager 5.1.1 and Siebel Communications Billing Analytics 5.1.1 enable organizations to improve customer service while reducing the overall cost of serving customers. The applications help lower print and payment processing costs and eliminate postage costs, and can accelerate collections with online bill payment and presentment. Additionally, the applications help contain costs by providing account- and cost center-based reporting, as well as budget, spend and usage analysis.

With the unique advanced-billing and reporting functionality in Siebel Communication Billing Analytics 5.1.1, users will now be able create accurate historical and trend reports across billing periods with versioned hierarchy capabilities. The application will also enable customers to conduct "what if" analysis with fast, real-time updates between business hierarchies and reports, as well as distribute access to information throughout the organization with hierarchical and role based reporting features.

Siebel eBilling Manager 5.1.1 now includes convergent bill presentment functionality to easily link multiple services within one self-service experience, increased scalability for large business-to-business and business-to-consumer accounts and enhancements to further strengthen performance and security.

The new release improves on Oracle's current solution that supports more than 125 million users and enables a high return on investment for service providers. Oracle's Siebel Self-Service and eBilling solutions have generated an unprecedented number of customer wins spanning multiple industries and geographies. Key industries such as telecommunications, utilities, healthcare and manufacturing can see a high return on investment when leveraging eBilling solutions where the majority of customer inquiries are billing and account management issues.

"This new release fortifies what is already the industry's only complete solution for allowing customers to do business with you anytime, anywhere," said Oracle Vice President of CRM Self-Service Products William Hou. "Our self-service and ebilling solutions are unique in their ability to improve customer service and increase customer loyalty while helping to reduce the overall cost of serving customers. And, as this release shows, we'll only continue to develop our commitment to them."

Customers and media looking for information are encouraged to attend Oracle's Applications Unlimited launch scheduled for January 31st - February 1st. This global launch will highlight the release of 5 new products and is being held in 8 countries around the globe in 24 hours.
