BRCM: Broadcom Announces Conference Call to Review Q4 and Fiscal Year 2006 Financial Results

Broadcom Corporation (Nasdaq: BRCM), a global leader in semiconductors for wired and wireless communications, will conduct a conference call with analysts and investors following the release of its fourth quarter and fiscal year 2006 financial results on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 1:45 p.m. Pacific Time; 4:45 p.m. Eastern Time. The conference call will be conducted by Scott McGregor, Broadcom's President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Henry Samueli, Chief Technical Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Bruce Kiddoo, Vice President and Acting Chief Financial Officer.
After the close of the market on February 8, and prior to the conference call, Broadcom will distribute a copy of the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2006 financial results press release via PR Newswire. On September 8, 2006 and July 14, 2006 Broadcom provided preliminary reports regarding its voluntary review of equity award practices, commenced in May 2006. As previously announced, the company will be restating its financial statements for the first quarter of 2006 and prior periods as a result of the equity award review. The company is working expeditiously on the restatement of its financial statements and expects to file an amended Annual Report on Form 10-K/A for 2005 and amended Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q/A for the first quarter of 2006, reporting adjustments to its prior financial statements, as well as Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q for the second and third quarters of 2006, with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in January 2007.
