RSAS: RSA Security Extends RSA BSAFE® Encryption Support for HP Integrity Servers

RSA Security (Nasdaq: RSAS) announced that the company has extended support for RSA BSAFE® encryption technology through integration with HP Integrity servers using the Intel® Itanium2® processor. With this integration, an expanded number of solutions from the RSA BSAFE portfolio are available for use on HP-UX11i v2 running on the HP Integrity server platform.
Specifically, HP Integrity server integration is available for RSA BSAFE SSL-C, RSA BSAFE SSL-J, RSA BSAFE Crypto-C, RSA BSAFE Crypto-J, RSA BSAFE Cert-C and RSA BSAFE Cert-J. These RSA BSAFE technologies are designed to enable C, C++ and Java® developers to maintain security of SSL and PKI-enabled applications, as well as sensitive data, and to help keep the information within these applications protected.

"As security becomes increasingly important to businesses worldwide, RSA Security sees customers placing a greater emphasis on protecting the applications they create and the data they store," said Kathy Kriese, senior product manager, Data Security Division at RSA Security. "RSA Security is committed to providing customers the ability to leverage RSA BSAFE technologies within the broadest range of environments possible, and delivering support for the HP Integrity server platform helps us to significantly further this initiative."

"At HP we understand the importance of providing our customers with the broadest range of third-party applications and solutions for the Integrity server platform," said Don Jenkins, vice president of marketing, Business Critical Servers at HP. "Tighter integration between RSA BSAFE technologies and the HP Integrity platform ensures our customers will benefit from the secured availability inherent within HP-UX and the Integrity server architecture."

RSA BSAFE developer solutions are among the more widely used e-security tools in the world, helping companies to efficiently and cost-effectively build leading encryption and digital signing technology into many business applications - including web browsers, wireless devices, commerce servers, email systems and VPNs. RSA BSAFE encryption software can save organizations time and reduce risk in their development schedules, and deliver high-performance security and cutting-edge cryptographic enhancements.
