QSFT: Quest Software Releases Enhanced Foglight for SAP NetWeaver for Improved Management of SAP Applications

Maintaining and optimizing the performance and availability of SAP™ applications is critical for businesses, but until now, there has not been a performance management solution that crosses SAP application tiers. Quest Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: QSFT) today announced the release of a new version of Foglight® for SAP NetWeaver to discover, diagnose and resolve problems in critical business SAP applications. It is the first management solution to proactively monitor and correlate availability and performance metrics across all tiers of the SAP application environment – from the end user to database. Foglight for SAP NetWeaver is the latest addition to Quest’s award-winning Foglight portfolio of application monitoring and management products.

Foglight for SAP NetWeaver now enhances existing SAP application management by providing 24x7 unattended monitoring, reducing the redundancy of routine administrative tasks, and allowing administrators to drill down to the actual cause of performance problems – regardless of the application tier. Quest’s product enhancements include a feature for monitoring exception conditions, which allows administrators to collect exception detail without sifting through large amounts of unrelated data. In addition, the product now stores application performance data for extended periods, allowing for capacity planning, trending and historical analysis.
