Oracle Delivers New Release of PeopleSoft Enterprise Customer Relationship Management
Latest Release Provides Customers with Enhanced Usability and Superior Ownership Experience; Offers Specific Functionality for Communications and Financial Services Industries
Furthering Oracle's ongoing commitment to enhance PeopleSoft applications as part of the "Applications Unlimited" program, Oracle today announced the availability of Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) 9. Highlights of this release include new enhancements designed specifically for the financial services and communications industries, usability enhancements designed to help increase productivity and increased use of Oracle(R) Fusion Middleware.

PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 9 delivers business processes and functional enhancements specifically for the communications and financial services industries.
The move to Internet Protocol (IP) services and 3G data networks requires communications service providers to have flexible customer and order management processes, enabling them to roll out new services quickly, define innovative pricing plans and deliver differentiated customer services. With PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 9, Oracle delivers communications-specific care and ordering capabilities to streamline the deployment and maintenance of next generation services. To help lower the cost of service and time to market for new products, PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 9 dramatically enhances order and service management, support for wireless market and delivers business process management for mobile number portability, lost and or stolen wireless handsets and prepaid account setup.
Additionally, PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 9 offers best-of-breed CRM capabilities for the financial services market. Building on Oracle's core CRM suite and the financial services capabilities of previous releases, enhancements for PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 9 include, sample processes for Financial Account Creation, Lead and Referral Management, as well as Web Services for Remote Portlets (WSRP) allowing for PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 9 content currently available within the PeopleSoft portal technology to be visible within diverse third party portal technologies.
Enhanced Functionality Drives Superior Ownership Experience
PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM customers' investments are extended in this release by providing new functionality to improve usability and productivity by streamlining processes through reduced clicks and page transfers. Some of the PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 9 enhancements include an actionable 360-degree view of customers with a work list and auto-save of recent searches, an auto-population of commonly typed text using hotkeys, and a bulk service management for order capture, calendaring enhancements, lead import performance improvements, mobile sales support for Intellisync Mobile Suite (IMS) architecture.
Greater Value Using Next Generation Technology
The adoption of next generation technologies continues in PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 9 with the integrations and certification of Oracle Fusion Middleware with PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 9 and PeopleTools 8.48. Together, PeopleTools 8.48 and Oracle Fusion Middleware provide a comprehensive, standards-based platform that addresses the challenges of disparate technologies and applications.
PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 9 includes extensive enhancements for integration and reporting such as:
* Expanded Web Services - PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 9 delivers 19 new web service enabled transactions with more than 70 service operations, enabling PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM applications to more easily integrate with third party applications and plug into standards-based business processes; and
* Oracle XML Publisher - Oracle XML Publisher has been integrated specifically with PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 9 to help manage correspondence by delivering improved performance for generating documents, improved scalability; improved ability to create correspondence letter templates and real-time merge capabilities and preview of correspondence management.
In addition, customers can leverage the following certified Oracle software:
* Oracle BPEL Process Manager - PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 9 tightly integrates Oracle BPEL Process Manager delivering a standards based business process management tool for organizations to quickly and cost effectively deploy new solutions and business processes across heterogeneous systems; and
* Oracle Database 10g and Oracle Application Server 10g Certification - Customers can benefit from the performance, scalability, security and reliability of Oracle Database 10g and Oracle Application Server 10g with PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 9.
