TWX: AOL fires technology chief over data release
Time Warner Inc.'s (TWX) AOL has fired its chief technology officer and two other employees over the company's release of Web-search data from some of its members, according to a media report Monday. Maureen Govern, hired by AOL as its chief technology officer in September, will leave the company immediately In addition, a manager and a researcher have been dismissed, the report said. AOL posted the Web-search data, which detailed more than 20 million queries made by 650,000 of its users, to an AOL research Web site last month
