Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq:YHOO), a leading global Internet company, today launched Yahoo! Food, a comprehensive new lifestyle Web site that will enable consumers to discover the best of food information and content online. The new site combines content from celebrity chefs, a searchable recipe database and personalization features, as well as a built-in user community around the topic of food. Yahoo! Food is the company's latest example of developing a unique user experience through the combination of social media tools and high-quality licensed, original and video content that, in turn, creates additional marketing opportunities for advertisers.
"Yahoo! Food was designed with the everyday cook and food lover in mind," said Deanna Brown, general manager, Yahoo! Lifestyles. "Food is a necessity for everyone and an obsession to others, and we are thrilled to combine all these food features from great partners and marketers and present them in a seamless, integrated experience."

Local, which features extensive dining guides, restaurant ratings and reviews from around the country.
Opening the Door for New Marketing Opportunities
Yahoo! Food gives advertisers and marketers, such as Masterfoods USA and LendingTree.com, the opportunity to reach its key consumers in a vibrant and active online community.
Diverse Array of Bloggers and Original Video Content
Yahoo! Food will initially feature 13 reputable bloggers who will blog about all things food, including: Marcus Samuelsson, "The Continental Chef"; Art Smith, "Back to the Table"; Donatella Arpaia, "Donatella's Dish"; Serious Eats' Ed Levine, "Ed Levine Eats"; and Frank Stitt, "Southern Table," among many others.
