HP today announced that it has promoted John W. McCain to run HP Services, the company’s $15.5 billion worldwide services business.
A seasoned information technology services and sales executive, McCain will serve as senior vice president and general manager of HP Services. He will report to Ann Livermore, executive vice president, Technology Solutions Group, HP.
McCain, 47, has been the senior vice president of HP Consulting & Integration since December 2005. Prior to joining HP, McCain served as chief executive officer of iEnergizer, a privately-held, business process outsourcing services company. Previously, he was chief executive officer, North America, at Capgemini, and spent 16 years at EDS, where he held various executive positions within its e.Solutions, CIO Services and Commercial Services units.
“John has a strong track record within the services industry and has delivered outstanding results for our consulting and integration global business unit since joining HP,” said Livermore. “John’s proven leadership, passion for customers and deep understanding of our services strategy make him the right person to lead HP Services.”
