ORCL: Oracle and i-flex solutions Certify Oracle Fusion Middleware with i-flex Applications

Oracle and i-flex(r) solutions today announced certification of i-flex applications with Oracle(R) Application Server 10g, a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware. This certification enables financial services companies to increase their capacity for growth and gain greater insight into their businesses, without significant financial or resource commitments, through the use of Service-Oriented Applications and standards-based business processes. The certification is part of Oracle's strategy to create a comprehensive suite of business applications for the financial services industry. Oracle and i-flex also today outlined plans for certifying additional components of Oracle Fusion Middleware with i-flex applications.
The certification of i-flex applications, which spans the Daybreak(TM), FLEXCUBE(R), i-flex Process Framework for Banking (iPFB) and Reveleus(TM) products, with Oracle Fusion Middleware will enable customers to more easily integrate and support their entire mix of Oracle and non-Oracle financial services and enterprise applications, while laying the groundwork for a Service-Oriented Architecture. Building on Oracle Fusion Middleware's certification with Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise, Oracle's Retail Merchandise Operations Management, Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and Oracle's Siebel CRM applications, certification with i-flex allows customers to integrate i-flex software with a broad range of Oracle's existing financial services applications, customer relationship management, financial, enterprise performance management and other horizontal business applications. As a result of Oracle and i-flex's collective best-in-class offering for the financial services industry, customers can secure their processes, transactions and customer data more easily and make more informed business decisions.

"i-flex is committed to bringing best-in-class solutions to enable financial institutions worldwide to excel in their businesses through the effective use of IT infrastructure, systems and processes," said N R K Raman, chief operating officer, i-flex solutions. "Working with Oracle to certify our applications with Oracle Fusion Middleware helps us further differentiate our solutions. We are making it easier for our customers to move to a Service-Oriented Architecture through the use of the industry's fastest growing middleware offering."

"Certification with i-flex underscores Oracle's commitment to helping organizations build, deploy and manage SOA-enabled applications," said Thomas Kurian, Senior Vice President, Oracle Server Technologies. "The certification also further strengthens Oracle Fusion Middleware's position as the leading middleware platform for the financial services industry."

Oracle and i-flex also plan to certify Daybreak, FLEXCUBE, iPFB and Reveleus with additional components of Oracle's comprehensive middleware offerings including: Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle Business Process Analysis Suite, Oracle Identity Management and Oracle SOA Suite.
