FOX News has become the premiere video provider of business news on Yahoo Finance, with the launch of a co-branded video initiative, FOX Business Now. The initiative, which debuts today on Yahoo! Finance, brings FOX News business programming to the Internet's number one financial destination, and includes nine original two-minute market reports each weekday between 9am and 5pm. The agreement was jointly announced by Jeremy Steinberg, Vice President, Digital Media Ad Sales & Business Development, FOX News and Scott Moore, head of news and information, Yahoo! Media Group.
In making the announcement, Steinberg said, "This new deal brings together two market leaders, providing the number one cable news channel a unique platform to deliver original business content on the number one financial website."
Moore added: "FOX Business Now significantly expands the video offerings of Yahoo! Finance, bringing original programming from the number one cable news network to our site, available free to all of our users. This agreement is an important example of how Yahoo! is meeting the growing demand for business news video, which we believe will help us extend our market-leading position."
In addition to the original market reports, FOX News will provide business news segments, investment programming and personal finance content. Combining television and original web content, FOX Business Now will be a fixture on the Yahoo Finance homepage and can also be accessed on Foxnews.com. FOX News will also have additional promotional placements on Yahoo!, and the initiative will also be promoted on-air on FOX News.
